FOREIGN LANGUAGE

  • Two-thirds of SJNCS 8th grade students who enrolled at Knoxville Catholic High School were placed in Honors Foreign Language courses for their Freshman year.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS ESSAY CONTEST

  • State Competition – One 8th Grade Student Competed

2016 IOWA ASSESSMENT SCORES (Grades 1 – 8)

  • SJNCS performed in the top one-fifth of the School National Percentile Rank.

DUKE TIP (Talent Identification Program) RECOGNITION (Grades 4 – 7)

  • Twenty-nine 4th/ 5th/ 6th grade students and ten 7th Grade students scored between the 95th and 99th percentile rank on designated subtests of the Iowa Assessment examinations. Three 7th graders received State recognition.
  • 2016 State Recognition Ceremony (Nashville, TN) – One sixth grader qualified as a 2016 EXPLORE Test Honoree having achieved a score in the 99th percentile.

  • Disabled American Veterans – $552
  • Ulster Project of East TN – $532
  • American Cancer Society – donated 24 ponytails through “Pantene Beautiful Lengths”
  • Pregnancy Help Center Baby Bottle Drive – $2,490
  • School-wide Recycling Program
  • The Deacon Jim Lawson Fund – $890
  • Total monetary contributions for the school year exceeded $6,800
