Welcome to Middle School

Meet Coach Statzer

After growing up in Indianapolis, IN, Mr. Wade Statzer “Coach Wade” attended Johnson University from 2013 to 2017. While at Johnson University, he managed the school’s intramural program for two years and was an assistant coach for the women’s basketball team. This experience created a desire in him to mold students into well-rounded individuals through teaching and athletics.
In 2019, after a move back to the Knoxville area, Coach Statzer joined the Knoxville Catholic High School girls basketball coaching staff, and became St. John Neumann’s Athletic Director.
July of 2020 provided a brand new opportunity for Coach Statzer. As he is working on his Bachelors in Education, St. John Neumann added “7th grade math” to his job title. Coach Statzer is excited about learning and growing with the 7th graders at SJNCS!
